I have a Garmin Nuvi 205 and I have the voice set to British English. Its a woman speaking. Is there a way to change the voice from a woman to the man on the actual Garmin (without doing it online) if there even is a way?

They are competing each other. If I were Garmin, why should I program maps such that when compressed into a file can be also used by Tom2x, Magellan etc.. Some maps may not even work in other software navigation system even if they are of the same brand, so it is expected not to work on other brands. But most maps(not the map software) may be supplied by same organization like Navteq.

Ask for local administrator rights to your PC only.

When the unlock codes are placed into the pc it says the maps are unlocked but when i transfer it to my gps a message saying maps cannot be unlocked appears. Then when i checked my GPS for the maps my original maps did not appear. When i tried re-downloading the original unlock codes onto my GPS the maps did not re-appear.
What should I do? I might be doing something wrong any suggestions?

I’m thinking of getting a GPS that I can use while on my motorcycle, but doesn’t cost and arm and a leg. The nuvi 275t has text-to-speech directions, and you can make calls on bluetooth, but i’m wondering if I can use bluetooth headset to hear the directions when the receiver is in my pocket.
