when driving you can press your speed, and it comes up with a screen displaying all informtion about your trip distance max speed etc, and in the middle is a digital speedometer, does anyone know how to make it read out in analogue, i think on older models it was ananolgue

The traffic receiver works either on a FM broadcast or XM nav traffic depending on service and unit. This will broadcast traffic delays and the unit will give an optional route to avoid the traffic. You could look at this a few ways
1) providing you are in a major city it works great
2) If you have the unit anyway and you know either from radio broadcasts or by looking online that there is traffic in a particular highway and you get off the current route, the unit will always recalculate and get back on route.
I do not use the traffic systems.

The manual isn’t real helpful. I’ve downloaded TOPO onto my computer and would like to start using the 60CSX to guide me in rides in the mountains around S.F. but so far it isn’t getting a lot of use.

I recently purchases the Garmin C530 and was wandering how often they usually update their maps (City Navigator North America)
